Austin is the Director of Development for the states of Kansas, Iowa, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Tennessee. He uses his unique background and experience in engineering, construction, development and project management to put together high quality housing for all the communities he works to partner with.

Austin started his career at ExxonMobil in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after graduating from the University of Kansas. While at Exxon, he acted as a Program Manager for a project portfolio eclipsing $1 billion dollars, overseeing engineering and construction for a fully integrated petrochemical facility. Due to proximity, Austin became a transplant LSU fan and was able to witness an NCAA Championship just steps from Tiger Stadium.

After ExxonMobil, Austin returned to his home state of Kansas to lead an international project portfolio aimed at developing incremental product capacity for Garmin International in Olathe, KS.

Prior to joining OPG, Austin was a Development Associate at NorthPoint Development, overseeing the design, engineering, and construction of multiple build-to-suit and speculative industrial warehousing developments in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Austin holds a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. He has a passion for the film industry, and spends his free time watching movies, cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks, and traveling. Above all, Austin is outspoken about his pride in being a Kansan, and aims to exemplify the best qualities of the Sunflower State wherever he goes.
